Book 1, Chapter 6
Happy Chapter 6, everyone!
Option 3 won handily this round with 64% of the vote, although Option 1 got a respectable 36%. The vote was somewhat engineered because I intentionally made Option 2 less desirable this time to conduct an arguably amateurish psychological experiment. Option 2 had been the winner the previous two chapters, so I was wondering if I was subconsciously making Option 2 better or all you readers were subconsciously swayed by the placement of the Option 2. This time, Option 2 (the most boring of the options) got no votes, which proved…absolutely nothing other than that the majority doesn’t always select Option 2. Don’t worry. My experimenting is over.
Luckily, Option 3 gave good options for direct action and a little mystery. Additionally, I tried to address one reader’s very helpful comment that s/he’d like to learn more about Alex, not just related to her relationship with Rafael, but more about her personality and what motivates her in life. You’ll see some dashes of that in this chapter.
To the question, ”Do you like having just one question to answer about what happens in the next chapter or multiple questions to shape the story?,” a little more than half said they are fine with just one question. Of the rest, around 35% said they like having more questions to answer, and several wrote in their own responses, providing a mix of responses about the types of questions to answer. In conclusion, I’ll likely keep most chapters to one question but occasionally add an extra if there is something juicy we are working on.
I hope you enjoy Chapter 6’s trip to Peru and am looking forward to seeing what you choose for Chapter 7!
